Photo Submission Rules
To ensure fairness and manageability, please adhere to the following when submitting photos: Originality: All submitted photographs must be your own original work. You must be the sole copyright holder. Do not submit photos taken by others. Relevance: Submissions should generally relate to Detroit or the specific Category theme for the period. File Format: We accept photos in JPG/JPEG or PNG format only. File Size: Please ensure your submitted image files are **under 1MB** each. Files larger than this may be rejected or removed. Optimize your images before uploading. Content: Submissions must not contain offensive, illegal, discriminatory, or explicit material. Keep it suitable for a general audience. Promotional material or excessive branding is discouraged. Watermarks: Submissions may be displayed without watermarks in the gallery.
Community Conduct & Voting
Respect: Treat all members with respect in the Live Chat and any other interaction areas. No harassment, insults, or trolling will be tolerated. Keep discussions civil, even when critiquing work. Voting Integrity: Participate in voting honestly. Vote for the photos you genuinely feel best represent the category theme and photographic merit. Do not attempt to manipulate votes through multiple accounts or other means. Feedback: Constructive criticism is welcome if offered respectfully, but unsolicited harsh critiques are discouraged. Focus on positive aspects or offer specific suggestions for improvement kindly. Privacy: Do not share personal information about other members without their explicit consent.

Copyright: You, the photographer, retain full copyright to your submitted images. Permission Granted: By submitting photos to Detroit Photo Crew, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your submitted photos on this website (including the gallery, voting pages, potentially homepage features) for the purposes of operating and promoting the photo club. We will aim to provide credit whenever your photo is displayed. No Other Use: We will not sell, license, or use your photos for any other commercial purposes without obtaining your explicit, separate permission.
